Katy Perry:
Advocate, Caregiver, and Community Leader, Event Director
Katy Perry is from the rural town of Hulbert, Oklahoma. Being from a rural town, Katy understands how the lack of resources can be a struggle. Katy received her bachelors in Health and Human Performances with a minor in Psychology from North Eastern State University. Katy has become known as a leader in her community, as she has assisted with a local parent support group, planned special Olympic events and fundraisers, created a sensory friendly zone for local parades, and advocated to make needed improvements at her son's school. Her personal journey as a case manager and caregiver has inspired her to help other families find and utilize resources.

Before becoming a mother of 3, Katy was a case manager for 3 years working with families to help them thrive in difficult circumstances. When her son was diagnosed with autism at age 2, she became determined to get him all the resources and support to help him thrive. She quickly realized that living in a small town, there was a vast lack of resources and accommodations for the special needs community. Katy has worked hard to make changes and to create an all inclusive atmosphere in her local communities. Now more than ever, Katy wants to help other families access resources to help their children succeed.
In her free time, Katy enjoys photography, scrapbooking, teaching dramas to the youth group, and playing volleyball. Katy loves to travel when she gets the chance and loves getting outdoors with her husband and kids. Katy's dedication to assisting others has made her a trusted face in the Oklahoma special needs community. "Together we thrive!"
