AUTHOR BIO
Jeanetta Bryant is a devoted mother, author, speaker, and founder of Abilities Workshop, Inc., a nonprofit supporting families of children with special needs. Inspired by her daughter Lindsey’s journey with autism, Jeanetta empowers others through workshops, media, and now her latest book, Autism Advocacy Interrupted, which offers a bold, unifying perspective on navigating the spectrum.
SYNOPSIS
Autism Advocacy Interrupted is a courageous and compassionate exploration of the fractured landscape of Autism advocacy. Jeanetta Bryant, a mother and advocate who has walked the path firsthand, lifts the veil on the chaos that too often defines the conversation: infighting, ego-driven agendas, and fragmented messaging that leave families overwhelmed and unsupported.
With piercing insight and emotional honesty, Bryant introduces readers to four distinct types of advocates—Revolutionists, Trailblazers, Mavericks, and Disruptors—each with their own voice, motive, and impact. She invites us to question who we’re following, why their message matters, and whether the current noise is serving the very people we claim to fight for.
This isn’t just a book—it’s a rallying cry. A call to pause, reflect, and realign. Autism Advocacy Interrupted challenges parents, professionals, and policymakers to trade division for unity, volume for vision, and personal agendas for purpose. It dares us to champion what truly matters: the well-being, dignity, and future of those on the spectrum.
