Dr. Stephanie Holmes

Stephanie C. Holmes graduated from Campbell University summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1994. She then completed her Master’s in Counseling through Liberty University and further pursued licensing in the state of North Carolina, which was obtained and held from 2001 through 2009. She was an LPC in good standing. Upon moving to Georgia, with a desire to reach more people through tele-counseling, she obtained other certifications to pursue her calling of working with marriage and families with special needs nationally and internationally. Her highest held degree is an Ed.D from Abilene Christian University, where she graduated with distinction upon completing her dissertation, “Creating an Inclusive Climate for Students on the Autism Spectrum.”

She has two business: Autism Spectrum Resources for Marriage & Family, LLC and NeuroDiverse Christian Couples. The ministry and counseling under Stephanie Holmes seek to bring restoration and spiritual renewal to troubled lives. The mission is to offer affordable Christian counseling to those in need and to glorify God in all that transpires during the counseling process. The theoretical foundation upon which her eclectic use of various counseling skills is based is on that of cognitive-behavioral theory. The cognitive-behavioral premise is how one thinks affects one’s behavioral choices. The techniques used focus on monitoring and identifying irrational thought patterns and habits and changing subsequent behaviors with the power given to us through the Holy Spirit. She believes counseling begins with an understanding that we are physiological, psychological, and spiritual persons. Because of this belief, Christian principles are blended with compatible psychological techniques and theories to promote psychological, relational, and spiritual growth through counseling. Counseling is a process that promotes positive change, but the overall decision to change and apply various techniques is the sole choice and responsibility of the counselee. She provides counseling services for individuals, couples, and families. Her desire is for people to walk in freedom and overcome whatever may be in the past or what is going on in this present. The message she teaches is one of hope and freedom and overcoming through the power of Jesus Christ. There is no exclusion clause in Jeremiah 29:11! Her real credentials are living and learning about autism as mother of now adult autistic daughter on the spectrum and is in a neurodiverse marriage for 30 years.
