Founder and Executive Director of Angles Bridging Gaps
Jacqueline Yearby is the Founder and Executive Director of Angels Bridging Gaps (ABG) which is an Autism Spectrum Disorder & Other Related Disabilities Support Organization based in Palm Bay Florida. Since its inception in 2008 its purpose has been to educate caregivers about resources, building community partnerships, in addition to creating social & recreation opportunities within our special needs community. To answer this call Angels Bridging Gaps was incorporated as a nonprofit in June of 2021, to help support the establishment of the ABGworks Enrichment Program for Adults with Disabilities founded in April of 2021 to fill the gap in activities and services for adults over the age of 18. As a parent of a child with Autism she understands the struggles and unique challenges that become a part of everyday life. And it is only through a strong support system based on Love, Hope, Faith and Joy that her family has been able to weather the storms.
As an advocate of our ASD & Disabilities community for over a span of 20 yrs, Jackie has had the privilege to serve in a number of community roles such as Member/Chair of the Interagency Counsel of Brevard School, Brevard School Board Exceptional Education Advocacy Team, Brevard Schools Title I Committee, Florida Kidcare Coalition Team, City of Palm Bay Youth Advisory Board. And currently serving as the Space Coast Ambassador for the Bright Feats Disabilities Resource Guide (since 2014), Founding Board Member of the One Voice Coalition of Florida, and Board Member for the University of Florida’s Extension Program Cocoa.
Over her many years in corporate America Jackie’s professional career ranged from mortgage accounting, databases management, project management, disabilities employment specialist, and even serving as a pre-planning funeral/celebration of life advisor. But in all the roles that she has been blessed to serve in, the most rewarding of all the things would be serving as mother to her two beautiful children Imani and Omari (her true motivation). And none of this would be possible without the love and support of her amazing husband Bryant, that of her beautiful family, and that of her ABGworks Village members.
